XF 1.3 Marked forums read results in page not found error

I recently moved our forums from /forum/ to / and up to this point, just some minor bobbles which were easily fixed with a .htaccess redirect.

However, this one has me confuzled.

Clicking on Mark Forums Read results in a page not found error. The link points to this:

http://www.oursite.org/forums/-/mark-read?date=1407275178

I've checked the default path in AdminCP. I've rebuilt the caches. Disabled addons. No change.

Suggestions where to look next are appreciated.

The URL looks correct.

I wonder if it's related to the redirect you have implemented.

Edit -- Changed from a redirect to a rewrite function within .htaccess and everything works as it should.
