Lack of interest Make read/unread alert circle permanent (remove hover)

The little circle to show the read/unread status of alert notifications is very useful.

Having it only show on mouse-over seems like a strange choice.

I'd suggest making it permanently displayed by default.

The desktop has the blue shading to distinguish new or not I think.

If you click the empty circle, the post then appears as background shaded.

XF 2.2 - How do I have alert toggle icon always visible?

Apparently, in 2.1 the alert pop up had different background color. In 2.2 the alerts use a toggle icon, but one has to hover in that area to see it. What would be the CSS to keep it always visible? Thanks

Yep, I know the CSS to "fix" this is trivial but not sure we should need to.
