Currently, if someone with the permission to use the Spam Cleaner clicks the Spam button in a thread, it wouldn't be recorded in the thread's Moderator Actions (thread-> three dot menu -> More Options -> Moderator Actions). It only gets recorded in the Moderation Log via Admin Panel.

My suggestion is to log this entry in the thread's Moderator Actions.
