Location Explain - Add an explanation to the location field

Adds an explanation to the Location field on the registration form (if it is shown) and on the account details form.

If you prefer users to enter their location in a specific format, this will allow you to describe your requirements.

Possibly earlier, but I've only just noticed it not working..

Sim updated Location Explain with a new update entry:

v1.0.1 bugfix

The account_details template changed in v2.2.8 (as a result of this bugfix notification: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/location-field-is-not-marked-as-required.199852/) which in turn broke the template modification for this addon.

v1.0.1 updates the template modification to work with the new version of the template and sets the minimum required version of XF to 2.2.8

1.0.5 (2026-10-13)​

• answer the hampel_admin_api_redaction code event to declare that the option is not a secret, so an add-on that reports a forum's configuration with secrets removed can show the explanation text — this adds no dependency, and does nothing on a forum where no add-on defines that event

• the option's explanation now says the registration form shows the text only when...
