"Likes" How much are they used on your site?

I have been looking around at other Xenforo sites and I see the "Like" feature isn't used as much as it in on ours and I am wondering why? Even though we are reletively young with just one of the posters (myself) with a post count over 10,000, the likes we have many members with likes in solid 4 digits, numbers that rival sites that have members with post counts that are multiple times higher than ours. I am curious if anyone has any thoughts here why?

Looking at your forum:



I see the Likes box is heavily emphasized. So members I suspect are drawn to the Likes and feel obligated to like posts. There are a couple things that come to mind, having the emphasis on the Likes as opposed to the message could be a bad things as it makes reading the thread more difficult.
