I have a custom user field that administrators edit, and I tried giving my moderators (global moderators with proper permissions) ability to edit basic user profile. I also went to the custom user field and made it "Moderator editable" but after my moderators reporting that they still couldn't edit that custom field, I did a bit of testing and it seems that:
If the user field is not editable by a member, then even if we give moderators ALL permissions to edit that custom user field, they cannot edit it.
Please let moderators edit custom user field, even if that field isn't editable by members (or at least make this an option).
