My users are confused by the time limit on editing their posts. Would it be possible to leave the post open for editing by its author until there had been a subsequent post in the thread? i.e. Edit until replied.
Neat idea. We just tweaked our time limits in response to a user complaint about not having enough time (long story). Not sure that user would like this idea but it's how I'd prefer it to work.
The easiest implementation, I would think would be to leave editing always available but have an "unanswered" check that would prevent edits if the post were not the last post in the thread. If a time limit were wanted, it could be left very long, say 24 hours or 7 days for example.
