Close/delete thread, I can see there is likely not enough demand for this to happen.
Many people across the globe utilize forum software. My #1 pick is XenForo and I tell everyone about it.
What many systems use for storing user accounts is AD, which is talked to with LDAP (protocol). Making XenForo capable of supporting such a system could make it easier for administrators to setup larger systems. I for example am setting up an educational system alongside XenForo, since I want users to be able to authenticate via AD and Moodle supports LDAP but XenForo does not, I am sure you can see the problem.
