Ken Olsen, founder of DEC, dead at 84

    Ken Olsen, co-founder of the defining technology company of a bygone era, Digital Equipment Corporation, has died. He was 84.

    I remember reading that after his speech, possibly in IEEE magazine. Even then it was a bit humorous considering all the things happening at the time.

    I remember the DEC Rainbow, a friend had one at RIT in NY. Thank you for all you did Ken, even when I disagreed with some of it. :)

    Ahh DEC. Remember those many nights in the computer lab nabbing code from the drives. :p I did my homework too but my buddy was a whiz at driving the folks in the lab crazy.
