I actually thought it through and deleted the post. Thought i was a little harsh as well.

I've seen people get suspended on other forums for bagging them out. The suspensions were permabans.
I'm lucky i haven't gone that far yet. I wouldn't on here anyway.

I can see why if some client had their license revoked it would be under having many violations which result in infractions..

I think you may be confusing violating the rules of this forum, and violating the terms of the agreement. The licence could be revoked for the latter, but not the former unless the posts were defamatory or otherwise in breach.

A suspension means temporary so cannot be a "permaban"

Of course people can be banned for violations of forum rules and of course any forum may have a rule saying members may not criticise the forum. However that is not the case on this forum.

On my forum I welcome criticism whether or not it is derogatory, provided it isn't defamatory (ie based on falsehoods)

Didn't see the post you replied to since I have several recently on ignore (but I have a good idea of who it is)... but does that confusion really surprise you? I see that staff finally addressed that "mistaken" position.... in todays "day and age" letting something like that lay fallow and not addressed could be very damaging.

Hello! See my smiling face? We finally got some direct correspondence after a big "poop storm" was raised. Pity that it had to go down that road as reasonable requests got blown off.. but sometimes the squeaky wheel does generate a little grease, and sometimes one has to show their "arse" to get a response. You get loud enough.. there reaches a point where it can't be ignored, even though it may be punished (wearing hat, t-shirt and drinking from the coffee mug). It's really a pity that a license holder has to devolve to that level of psychological warfare to push for a response (getting others actively engaged also).

However that is not the case on this forum.

Not totally correct.... but you won't lose your license over it.. you may never be able to post here again and have to depend on ticket support (which means you have to renew every year)... but for criticizing what one sees as stupidity... nope, license loss won't happen.

On Bigfooty a suspension means a permaban
especially when you have abused admin.

I've had this lots of times when i used to vent my spleen on that forum.
Both @BIG LLC and a bloke called Jim boy who are admin and owners of that site and forum know it.
On that forum too you can get a day off for general mucking around.
These guys never took me to court someone else did who was an actual stalker
he took me to court so many times for his own reasons he also took me to court for defamation.
He was the problem. He still is the problem.
I never got sued as it was settled due to the guy being scared of the judge.
He nearly got thrown out of his own court case.

So when this stuff hits the fan you do not want to have something nasty like this happen because of some narcissistic person cyberstalking you online and taking you to court.
