As I had the need for a simple BB-Code based mp3 player, exactly what this add on delivers, I gave it a test and it still works on 2.3.10, despite only being labeled for 2.0 and 2.1.

Thank you so much for taking the time to test it and share your feedback! 😊

I'm really glad to hear that the MP3 player is working well for you on XenForo 2.3.10 — that's great news! Even though it was officially labeled for 2.0/2.1, we've been quietly testing it on newer versions, and it's good to have confirmation from the community.

This kind of real-world testing is incredibly valuable. I'll update the resource page soon to officially include 2.3 compatibility and mention the BB-Code simplicity as one of its strengths.

If you have any suggestions for improvements or features you'd like to see in the next update, feel free to share — I'm always open to feedback!

I probably won't need/use it very often - I was spontanously in the situation wanting to embed a mp3 from another webpage into a post w/o uploading it to my server. As the usual XF media embed refers to either locally hosted files or media from a predefined list of sites this did not work here. HTML on the other hand has included all what's needed for ages, but I was too stupid to make it work within a post w/o too much effort/research, so this came in very handy, as it solved exactly the problem I had.
No real feature requests apart from maybe including an icon for the toolbar so that it can be used easily from the editor w/o having to know the BB-Code.

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation and the great suggestion! 🙌

I completely understand your use case – embedding an external MP3 file without uploading it to your server, and without having to mess with raw HTML. That's exactly why I created this BB-Code based add-on in the first place.

Your idea about adding an editor toolbar icon is very practical. It would definitely make the add-on more accessible, especially for users who don't want to remember the BB-Code syntax.

I'm happy to let you know that I will include a toolbar button in the next update. I'll also officially mark the add-on as compatible with XenForo 2.3.x, based on your successful test and my own verification.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback – it's truly helpful. Stay tuned for the update! 🚀

Best regards,
