XF 2.1 Issue with smilies during typing in editor while posting replies

We are using XF 2.1.3 version. We've a strange issue, if I enter smiley into the editor and then type, and click outside of the editor, the smiley gets deleted. This is happening frequently, although sometimes I get through.

Not sure why this is a development discussion, but first suggestion is to try to replicate it on here. Then secondly try on a unmodified default style with all addons disabled. Third, update to the latest version, 2.1.3 is outdated and unsupported.

2.1.3 is outdated and unsupported.

That is not correct - the 2.1 branch and all third party releases of it are currently supported.

However, we would always recommend upgrading to the latest version to take advantages of bug fixes and new features.
