Is it possible to integrate xenforo with an existing user database?

I want it to be so that existing users are already logged into the forum when they click on it.

It would need a 3rd party add-on, would help if you say what database you already use for user data, eg wordpress.

it's a custom backend for my app, yii2 mysql. Was hoping for some kind of easy sharing like I believe Discourse has with SSO.

Xenforo 2.1 what's in beta right now supports REST API, so you should be able to code something to do what you want, but its got no out the box ready to go system for single user login.
