XF 2.1 Is it possible to include route of parent forum in sub-forum?

Either through route filters or code changing would it possible to include the route (url string) of a parent forum in the route of the sub-forum.

Example parent forum is "United States" sub-forums are each state.

Currently the urls look like:
community/forums/united-states.2/
community/forums/alabama.9/
community/forums/alaska.10/

What I'd like:
community/forums/united-states.2/
community/forums/united-states.2/alabama.9/
community/forums/united-states.2/alaska.10/

...and would it be possible without a route filter for each individual subforum url?
