Is it possible for the IP checker in the spam cleaner....

....to make mistakes?

Because it sometimes shows matching result when the other user(s) is registered/confirmed/using the forum from 1 connection... but the spam cleaner matches the same user with another user by IP.

The other user(s) has a diff ip sometimes even ISP.

Possible ?

The check is done based on the number of days set in the ACP.

So it's possible that the same user has different IP records within that time.

But why does user A match user B and vise vera then?

I mean like this, how can one ban trolls?

It's entirely possible for more than one user to have used the same IP address over a period of time, especially if it's a corporate connection - from an office for example, or a proxy.

It's completely possible that user A who's: registration/confirmation/content IP is the same, yet still matches another user of a different ISP and different: registration/confirmation/content IP?

And both from up and down the country.

Yes, because that isn't necessarily the only IP/ISP they have used within the time period set in the ACP.

But for someone who's prob never been to example glasgow and the other user never have been to wales yet for their ips to match seems weird? Which I doubt very much they would have...
