I see. But assigning as a Super Moderator, it only displays Moderator not Super Moderator. I asked this question here and user asked me to create a Super Moderator Group to display the Super Moderator. How can i fix this?
No, there is no need to do that. Just put them in the moderating group and properly assign the Super Moderator permissions in Groups & Permissions->Moderators, then give them the Custom title.
A regular moderator only has permission to moderate certain forums. Super Moderators can moderate anything you give them permission to site wide.
Some people give some "Super moderators" limited permissions site wide and consider them "Regular moderators", and then give one or two "Super moderators" ALL permissions site wide and consider them "Super moderators".
Yes, yes. But having the old method, is that a bad idea? Or can create issues later on?
What i mean is there can be various moderators. And everyone cannot be same. So depending on this, i would rather customize the permissions.
The method described in the documentation that Andy posted is the preferred way to handle moderators. It's up to you if you want to follow that method or not.
