Is an Add-On required in order to receive email notifications on user registration?

Hi,

Would like to understand if Xenforo software itself comes with the optional function that sends an email notification to Forum Admin whenever a user register for the forum i.e. forum admin will have to manually approve each registration and also the user will have to confirm their email address in order to activate their account.

To answer the question in the thread title, yes, an add-on is required for administrators to receive email notification of new registrations.
