Intel Xeon E3 1245v2 / 4 cores-8 threads / 32 GB DDR3 / for $56 USD

After what we went though with OVH back when I owned xF Host.. I wouldn't buy that server for $1/mo.. Suspended at 5pm right before a 3 day weekend and a 20+ page thread here as the result.. been there, done that..

Well I'm not really doing anything critical with it. Just playing around. For you and a business I could see that being a problem.

Woaahh! I really want that one!

On France its MegaRAID+Cache & battery but weirdly on BHS its soft-raid. The E3-SAT-4 also has good performance so if its available just snap it :)

This is simple bencmark for SSD-4 (RBX):

Code:
wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash
CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1245 V2 @ 3.40GHz
Number of cores : 8
CPU frequency : 3391.976 MHz
Total amount of ram : 32138 MB
Total amount of swap : 2046 MB
System uptime : 17:59,
Download speed from CacheFly: 75.0MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 2.42MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 18.3MB/s

Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 13.9MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 21.6MB/s

Code:
hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 25406 MB in 2.00 seconds = 12723.41 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 2014 MB in 3.00 seconds = 671.11 MB/sec

Edit: setup it as RAID 5.

My Atlanta server at Colo Cross.. Not sure why CacheFly is so slow though :(

Primarily getting it to play with... that gives me one on the net to screw up and not effect anybody. :D
