XF 2.2 Installing two XF boards using same templates on the same base domain

I have a XF installation at domain/club/

It's working fine. I have made lots of modifications to the templates and phrases, but it's still working fine.

I want to add a separate XF board at domain/club/gauge/ . Using the same templates, database engine, etc., but with a completely different set of users, forums, threads, etc.

I'm happy to buy an extra licence if necessary, but is it feasible technically?

Alternatively, how would I copy all the templates to a separate installation, and keep them in sync with any changes?

Presumably that's a one-off? How would I keep them in sync after that?

It's not possible to keep two installations synched.

All the styles, and template customizations are stored in styles folder right? Otherwise maybe a rewrite rule, to the styles folder of the /club/ or maybe an idea for Xenforo, to make an option to load a style in from a different board and sync them with eachother

I intend to purchase an additional licence, create a new site, and import an existing SMF board into it.

I'm also going to export the style and language from my existing site and import it into the new one, as you suggest.

Should I do that before or after importing the SMF board?
