Import Question

I imported my production database to a local dev environment, and I am about 1-2 days from releasing my new XenForo site into production. BOOYAH!

My question is that if I perform the import again, will XenForo be smart enough to recognize already imported users, threads, posts, PM, etc...

Repeating the import process will result in duplicated content, including attachments and avatars. Users however will not be duplicated, due to the constraint related to user names.

The best course of action is to set up all the options, design, etc. and when complete save a copy of the database.

Then do any test imports, reloading the database each time.

When ready to do your final live import, restore the saves clean database and import into that.

Okay, going to be playing with it during the move and make sure to remove the potential duplicate content before import.

Take a clean backup when you're done setting everything up and then just reload that prior to your final import.
