XF 2.2 Import only usernames only

I am moving from 2.1 to 2.2. For reasons I don't want to get into, I want to import only a list of usernames, original creation date, and maybe password. Nothing else. And the password is expendable too, especially if it's easier without password.

My hope is I can create a csv file with 2 or 3 columns and somehow import it. Is there an easy path to doing this? Thank you.

You can do that with the standard importer with the caveat that some prerequisistes are required, such as user groups.

Those can simply be deleted after the import though.

Or modify the source data and delete all the user groups before importing.

If I start with a stripped down import source, will the importer tell me which data fields are required in addition?

The importer will automaticallty import any prerequsite content.

If there is nothing to import then it will just continue.
