After an upgrade to 2.3.7, we are running into image issues. Users who have uploaded images correctly in the past, now when they upload, the only thing we are seeing is the file name.
Trying to troubleshoot the issue, I uploaded images, one as an embed, one as an attachment and both worked fine. I suspected a permissions issue so I ran analyze permissions on one of the users with the issue and nothing appeared wrong.
I logged on as the user ( we have the Logon as User plugin) and posted an image from my computer and it works fine. Thinking it was a user issue, I asked another admin to post a test picture.
He posted a picture and after the upload, it appeared fine. I checked the thread and it was not showing the image, just the file name. I questioned him, he refreshed his browser, then his image disappeared also, showing just the file name.
Our host runs ModSecurity but has been for quite some time without issues. I saw the thread on it so I went into the cPanel and disabled it. Made no difference
Any ideas on where to begin to figure this out?
Side question - should we roll back the 2.3.7 upgrade? is there a way to do that short of a database/forum folder restore?
Thanks
Paul
