XF 2.1 Image Proxy Error?

A user asked about why an image wasn't displayed. It appears the proxy.php was returning a broken image icon instead of the original image. I ran it through the image proxy testing tool, and it said it was too big. So I increased the size limit.

Now I still get a broken image, but the testing tool says it works:






Any ideas why this would be? Normally we are behind a Cloudflare cache... but for this testing I put my server IP in my hosts file to eliminate any Cloudflare involvement... and it still is returning a broken image.

.plist isn't a valid regular image extension.

See if you can download it to your hard drive and then upload it to the forum as a jpg or png.

I had the same problem. I think you are hosting image files in a different place?

@arn And you should definitely mark the image files and presentation with proxy.

I also host image files on my own server. and I'm hosting it with chevereto. I use this plugin. https://xentr.net/resources/xtr-image-hosting.82/

So I don’t host the images anywhere different and it doesn’t explain why it doesn’t work here either. The .plist extension is something that tapatalk does apparently, so I don’t have control over that, but I assume all of tapatalk images are like that? I would think the testing tool would complain if that wasn’t supported.

extensions don’t seem to matter for image embeds.
