XF 2.1 Image Embeds no longer work. They appear for a split second and disappear and the BB Code goes away as well.

This morning I woke up to members complaining about image embeds not working. As far as I know, they were working yesterday.

Details:

• I have an add-on by TickTackk that stops my image proxy from unnecessarily proxying images that come from HTTPS sites.
• I am using the image proxy built into Xenforo.
• Neither HTTP or HTTPS images are working from any domain.
• This only applies to new posts. All old posts have their embeds working fine.
• I have confirmed that my hosting company did nothing overnight that is out of the ordinary. I don't think any automated processes ran that installed or updated anything that would matter (just stuff like Softaculous or whatever).
• I have disabled that add-on mentioned above to no avail.

This is on the brand new XF 2.1.3.

Does anyone have any idea where I might start to fix this?

I just realized that yesterday when I was trying to use even an Emoji (my own custom set) than even they were disappearing like this. Not sure if that helps.

It's a bug that is fixed for 2.1.4 (whenever that comes out) but the thread supplies a fix with a javascript file. I'll test that. Some say it is not working, others say it works.
