I'm trying your demo, but I have questions

I'm running a site on phpbb 3 and hate it! I kinda like what I see from the demo, but I have several questions. But, since I'm not a licensed member I can't ask questions.

I don't like the idea of buying something only to discover it doesn't do what I want. Or how easy it is to do what I want.

I can't test styles which are very important to us. We have a header/banner which we are very fond of. Check The Vape Workshop to see what I mean.

As for sales themselves we are retirees and would desperately love a senior citizens discount. We want to be an educational institute and want to revamp the site, but there is no sense when phpBB sucks so bad. We are non profit. Our only goal is to help people quit smoking cigarettes. That's a cause worthy of a discount!

Our site has issues when searching members or team members, and if someone clicks the "Home" link they get a 404 page not found error.

How am I supposed to learn if your site does what I need if I can't ask questions?

You can ask your questions here. BTW, the link to your site doesn't work as it is formatted incorrectly. Even when I enter the correct information, I get a Forbidden error, so I can't see your site or banner.

I doubt you will get a discount - I'm 71 and don't get one, lol.

You will find that Xenforo is VERY easy to use, set up and tinker with. You will also find that there are a lot of very helpful people on here who have your back and will help you out in any way they can. There's also a massive amount of add-ons in the resource centre that can give your site some extra oomph.

As far as we know, xf doesn't give discounts to anyone, so you have to pay full price for phpbb. Xenforo is much easier to use, both with your email and especially on the user side.
Your home page doesn't directly redirect to the forum, however.

Being a non-profit doesn’t mean you don’t have operating expenses. This is already cheap. It’s an expense. You just can’t have profits when your books close at the end of your fiscal year. Non profits have money to spend, let’s not use that as an excuse.

Also, I thought I saw something about importing from phpBB 3.X, but I don't see that as an option within the admin end.

With importing - you might want to get @Slavik or @MySiteGuy to DM you (DM = Direct Message) Both are helpful

Xenforo is a premium solution, you can still care and provide the services under the free solutions like you have. If you want to go premium, you have to pay like the rest of us.

Actually, I think it's kind of immature. BUT, my friend has a thing for goats. I know it's not special, but I'd like to know how it would lay, or look. Whatever I did do, there's a home button, back and forward arrow and the refresh icons covering the XF logo so it's very faint. We'll be begging, borrowing, steeling and saving to buy this package and any addons. I can't justify another $40 just to show that dang fool logo.

Would someone please tell me how to place that banner? I don't need a whole style, I like what I see but I want that banner to be like the one on our site. Note that I just turned 82 and my brain is literally rotting as I type. Please keep any answers REAL simple. Demonstrations and details are desirable.
