I removed the silly user account picture on my Windows start menu...

    "They" said it couldn't be done...

    but I never gave up :)

    I also tried theming, but found it incredibly too difficult; oh well, at least I removed the account picture. The next thing I'm working on is removing the account picture from my login / lock screen.

    Can't wait to build my new computer.

    wget http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-cdimage-xubuntu/releases/12.04/release/xubuntu-12.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso && wget http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-cdimage-xubuntu/releases/12.04/release/MD5SUMS
    md5sum -c MD5SUMS
    cdrecord -v -pad speed=8 dev=0,0,0 xubuntu-12.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso
    reboot -t now
    Seems to do the trick to get rid of the inadequacy of Windows...

    Linux? no thanks... can't stand it. I believe I told you this before.

    I highly doubt you have told me so, at least I have not taken note of it. Nor have I been a big promoter of Linux, at least not in this site. That being said, what you are doing is already default in Linux. There are some windows shell projects out there as well, the most promising one was Cairo Shell, http://cairoshell.github.com/

    I would still prefer to run linux, though I have spent so much money on steam I just can't justify it to my self.
