I currently use GoDaddy for my VPS solution. Needless to say, I NEED TO SWITCH! Who would you recommend i go with? This is for my Linux VPS. I would need to run VB and xF on this server.

Any suggestions? Thanks. :)

Nope - stay away from 1&1 - they are NOT a good host.

I've been a hosting provider for years specialising in VPS - I'm not going to recommend myself as that wouldnt be fair. But I highly recommend these (from experience):

futurehosting.com
jaguarpc.com
solarvps.com
vpslink.com
spry.com
knownhost.com

Thanks for the help Slavik and Rick.

Rick, Which one is the most helpful? Would they have a problem if something needed to be added (like MySQLi) in the future?

Well looks like affiliate links arnt allowed, could have just edited the post whoever deleted it

Care to share on why you think 1 and 1 is a bad host? I have 2 servers, a VPS and a shared domain all with them, and they have always gone above and beyond my expectations.

Or, you could get a cheap dedicated server from OVH.co.uk, but be warned, they don't provide any form of support for software issues, only hardware failures etc.

I've had or got accounts with all of them. I'm a big fan of the guys over at futurehosting, however knownhost are also excellent.

I recommend webhostingtalk.com - do a quick search for review of any host before using them. 1&1 horror stories are well known over there!

Swings and roundabouts though, you can find horror stories of any web host if you dig, but from my own personal usage of them for 8 years I can't complain!

I agree with the wiredtree suggestion as well, I had one of their hybrid vps's once, very fast, awesome support.

Thanks for all of the help. I just purchased a VPS from them. They seem 100 times better than GoDaddy, so i cant be going down in service lol.
