Thanks for the criticism. "Hobby forum" would be the best description. If that's what you think, that's your opinion; I don't have to share it, nor do I have to agree with whoever did the work back then. M@rk, what's done is done. I'm still looking for someone with the knowledge, not for exactly the same thing I had in mind, but something different. I spoke with several people, different points of view and prices, but some asked for $2000. Have we lost our minds? How come a complete XF doesn't cost that much with a year of updates and support? And it's a complete forum with everything, not even a paid XF branding. The prices are there; that's what a whole forum with millions of lines of code costs. Modifying is work, but at a reasonable price. If we're asking for just $300 a month for maintenance, which is just updating XF, etc., honestly, takes two minutes, and if I ask to change the profile picture, another $100? If someone wants to do work on a forum, go ahead. If they want to get rich, they should work for a company or NASA, not modifying forums. More absurd comments are welcome.

Not to be an a$$ but you need to compare apples to apples. Xenforo software is indeed relatively cheap but that is because it is sold to thousands of customers. You are asking for something that is only for you.

And the argument "It is only a few minutes work" may be true. The difference is, someone skilled can do it in minutes because it takes years of practices and education to get to that level. That is why a lawyer is so expensive.

But it may be wise to just let people here make you an offer and just reply them privately if you think they are asking too much money without calling people out here (semi) publicly.
