I have a forum, anyone can as guest to browse the whole forum.I want to know how can I ask for login or registration, then guests try to access a specific section on the forum.

Revoke the 'View node' permission for the unregistered user group for those nodes.

First of all thank you for your answer Brogan,
I have long time without managing this forum, I tried following your instructions but then the whole forum becomes without view rights while I want only to apply it on a specific node, I went to Node Permissions, selected the specific Node, and then Unregistered users and disabled the option but the whole forum becomes revoked.
