XF 2.2 I can't block guests from posting

Guests have become able to post on our forum. We have all the "General Permissions" set properly, but they can still post. However, I cannot replicate this phenomenon being a guest myself.

The posts come in bursts, so it's likely bot driven.

I know where my brain is going on this one, but any insight would be very appreciated.

Check the posting permissions for the unregistered user group.

Here it is. We never changed anything, it just started to happen.

If they are really guests and do not have registered accounts then there must be something else involved such as a third party add-on.

The writing before registering option would not make any posts public until they register.

We're getting a lot of this. It comes in, in batches. There is no user record for any of these posts. We never delete users, even spam ones.

It appears this was due to a third party WordPress integration.
