I Am Considering Buying XenForo. Some Questions...

I joined this site because of one feature, the pop-up window when switching styles.

Sounds corny but I'm addicted to styles. I have almost 30 installed on my own site.

That's the reason I joined. I wanted to see larger screenshots of the styles people have posted.

It won't let me view. How come?

Another reason I joined is that I need the ability to customize RSS feeds. vb4's options are limited.

I also wanted to customize my blog section more. Does XenForo have blogs?

I want to give members the ability to customize the background of their own blogs.

I have asked for help and received none. Not even in the Paid section of vb.org

Does XenForo have a Content Management System like vb4 as well? What about a Photo Gallery?

Does it have an Arcade modification? Casino???

Is Xenporta more convenient than your wordpress or do you still absoletly need the wordpress? I think I might use XenPorta for the new site I want to make instead of creating a separate wordpress and combining it with XenForo. Decisions, decisions...

they are two entirely different products .. wordpress is blogging software..
I am running multiple sites.. also into DokuWiki
I still keep my vBulletin software at my localhost

Use XenPorta to start. It is relatively easy to deploy.
Wordpress is powerful but requires much more preparation and knowledge to deploy.
start with XenPorta and then think about if Wordpress would be for you.

In retrospect, I can't even install more than 5 styles without having issues and it makes the whole site go down.

vB4 still has better RSS customization

Still no blogs section. Just blog addons that need lots of work to even begin comparing to vB4 blogs.

Still no CMS but XenPorta addon has been easier to configure than vBCMS

Arcade needs lots of work. (no alerts, comments or points tied with trophies unlike the arcades on vBulletin)

Still no Casino.

Update: My vbulletin site was hacked by Team Poison. I do have back-ups but I have to wonder, is it worth reinstalling everything? I've seen a vb4 importer. I'd like to keep my old threads so that sounds like a great idea, importing them over to XenForo.

What's the security like? About the same as it is on vbulletin?

I want to install a rating site since XenForo doesn't have an album rating script modification.

I asked the designers just now if they are able to make a single-sign on with XenForo.
Customer support for Xenforo is incredible. Takes forever for vbulletin.com or vbulletin.org staff to reply.
TinyMCE isn't much better ;)

In retrospect, Xenforo is more secure than vBulletin and has the better customer support.

TinyMCE ended up sucking more than CKEditor.

XenPorta is way more convenient than Wordpress integration.
