XF 2.1 I added a textbox into the edit_history_view template - How can I get the entered value

I added a textbox into the edit_history_view template.

What kind of php script I need to use to get the entered content and how can I get the entered value?
Would be nice to get some hints.

Got it.
I had to do it in XF\Pub\Controller\EditHistory
access the var with:
$this->filter('VARNAME', 'VARTYPE');
