XF 1.5 How to upgrade to xf 1.5

Please can some one assist me, i want to upgrade my XF 1.4 to XF 1.5
I have addon (postloop) already in on my XF 1.4 forum.
How do i go about doing this.

Download the upgrade .zip from your customer area.

Extract the files and FTP them to the server, overwriting what is already there.

Navigate to the /install path.

Upgrade any add-ons and styles as required.

Upgrades | XenForo

@Brogan Do you recommend disabling all plugins before upgrading? I have yet to perform an actual XF upgrade and IIRC I never had to disable plug-ins in vB 3.x.

It shouldn't be necessary but check with each add-on to confirm whether they are compatible with 1.5.

very basic question regarding the upgrade to 1.5 but this is the first time so i want to make sur about few things.

Do i need to save my actual version /content ?

If yes , i´ve read in the USERGUIDE that i have to do it through phpMyAdmin.Is it this that need to be done :



I have a SQL file now with all the forum content so ?

Am i ready to install through filezilla all the zip content and after that following the instructions to import the SQL file through the Xenforo admin panel?

You should back up the database, yes.

Not using phpMyAdmin though - it's not guaranteed to be a viable backup.

Ideally you need to use SSH and mysqldump.

Essentially you upload the files and navigate to the /install path.
