XF 1.5 How to set style by user group?

I'd like to have a style which contains ads for guests, but a style without ads for registered members.

I've been having a look around the settings, and I've searched here, but I'm struggling to find an answer.

Could someone please advise?

If the styles don't differ other than having ads enabled / disabled, you can do that with basic template modifications.

It's actually a little more complicated than that - hence why I figured there must be an easy way to assign a style to a particular user group.

Cheers for the link, but that's for XF2. I would have thought setting a style according to user group would be pretty simple in XF1.5, but it doesn't look like it's built in.
