How to redirect custom domains to my forum?

I purchased two domains from PorkBun in anticipation of future expansion. I tried my best, and also tried to search, and failed at what settings I need to apply to get newdomain.com and newdomain2.com to direct to my site so it's the exact same landing page as mysite.com if that makes sense.

If anyone is able to help or point me in the right direction I would really, really appreciate it.

That is not an XF function. You need to setup a .htaccess on each site or have your registrar do so.
I thought that might be the case but am I creating some future issue where a domain is pointing to my forum that's not connected like how I had to connect the custom domain using the account page here? What purpose did that serve if I could have just pointed the domain to my forum like I'm apparently going to do with these two new domains?

Thanks for the response and I'm sorry I probably come off like a 1st grader walking into a physics grad class.

Ok, no problem...
You want...

domain1.com to go to XFdomain.com

And

domain2.com to go to XFdomain.com

Right?

That is a server side redirect per each domain. The XF domain has nothing to read / do until it is contacted.

I understand. But yes, that is the situation. Furiously searching Google and my domain purchasing site to figure out how.

Thanks for the help!

Who is you registrar for the domains? It should be under 'domain forwarding' or 'Redirect' in the CP or something like that.

If you kinda want to do it on easy-mode, use Cloudflare for your DNS and it will handle the redirection. And gain all the other benefits of Cloudflare as well.
