XF 1.5 How to put a banner ad next to the forum logo?

How to put a banner ad next to the forum logo? If an addon is available, please let me know. Otherwise, please instruct how/what to edit.

Using Scratch theme so there's more space for the banner.

Followed those instructions exactly, but something goes wrong. The banner doesnt show up on the right side of the logo (as depicted in the screenshot above) and it also goes beyond the breadcrumbs (shown by green color).
