XF 2.1 How to hide threads & posts with date in future?

Hi,

I want to create a thread which appears in the future, let's say 18:00 (^= 6pm ).
I can change the timestamp in the database, but then XF shows "in about 6 hours" at the release time of the thread, and it's visible to all (guests, regged, mods, admins,...)

What I want is to hide these threads and posts until the time is not in the future anymore.
It only should be visible for (super-)admins and maybe moderators.

What's the best way to achieve this?

There's no thread publish scheduling integrated. You'd need to manually unapprove/approve the thread or get a 3rd party add-on to do the job for you.
