How to enable Tabulator in the post editor?

I have a question like in the subject.
Is it possible to enable the proper function of Tabulator while writing post? Normally it's jumping into another box/window.

That is the expected behaviour.

Why do you need tabs?

In one of the help section(programming) it would be nice to quickly Tab code to look more legible.

A fix has been implemented to retain tabs in the code tags.
Use an editor such as Notepad++ and paste from there.
