Is there a way to disallow email addresses in posts?

Just use filters? So say example@Gmail.com for example, just add a censor to ***** for @Gmail.com ?

Usually (at least with us) all you get is the mailto:***** link not the actual address.

Yes. Besides there are countless fileters you'd need for all the possible email addresses and it still doesn't stop people actually thinking they can post an email address.

Search the v2 manual for "censoring" or "dog". The example they show uses the word "dog".

Yes, but it still creates a link that is wrapped in bbcode , that links through to an email client, albeit with the replacement eMailNotAllowed, so people can easily edit that and send an email.

What I'm after is something that just stops the post being made because there is an attempt to create an email address, just like you get when you attemtp to creat a username that is an email address.
