How to create blocks?

Well, right now, I'm half-way finished with my vb4 installation at www.mw2boards.com and I'm looking to finish my xenforo installation at www.mw2forums.com

When I was looking around in the ACP, I've wondered how to create blocks. I'm looking at all the options and still remained confused and don't want to be breaking things. I said I'd come back to it at some point, so I would like to know how to create one.

Because soon, I'm going to put social networks in a box, and an ad for monetizing. So, how do I go about creating blocks AND!

Making both visible on thread display...

Edit this template:

Admin CP -> Appearance -> Templates -> thread_view

Add this code to the bottom of the template:

<xen:sidebar>
	<div class="section">
		<div class="secondaryContent">
			YOUR CONTENT HERE
		</div>
	</div>
</xen:sidebar>

That will create a sidebar on thread pages.

Got that part down, so how do I create a block for mainpage? Ya know, the standard one?

Just tell me where to look in the ACP, and I'll be on my way. I'll put an ad first thing I add a standard block.
