How to CHMod

I just installed a mod where it makes me CHMod these things to 777, How do I do that?

Exactly how do I do it is what I'm asking. I have to change the CHMod of the folders, and I don't even know what it means to be honest, nor how to even begin to edit it. A step by step would be very much appreciated.

chmod sets the permissions on a folder.

chmod 777 means : change the permissions of the file / folder to read, write, and execute for all.

I will be using FTP

You can use your cpanel file manager or your ftp program. It is similar to displaying the properties of a folder by right-clicking on them. In Filezilla for example, you can right click on a folder (directory) to chmod it. Once you do it once, you will see how easy it is.

there is no CHMod button, what do I click as I asked above. Do I click file permissions? or enter directory?
