How to attach GIF files?

Wondering what app/software you guys use to attach GIF files?
And how about just screenshots? I use the Snipping tool on Windows but is there a better way?

Using SnagIt for screenshot.
And a small app for Gif that you will enjoy, I think would be "GifCam". (Its just 700 kb but has everything I need for making a Gif)

On windows depending on what you want to capture you don't need anything for screenshots. Since you can paste an image directly into Xenforo's editor Print Screen or ALT + Print Screen (Captures just the window in focus) will do. Doesn't help if you need to actually trim it down. A lot of gamers use greenshot.
