XF 1.5 How to add "with images" filter to search

Hey folks,
First time poster here.

We would like to add the ability to filter by posts with images in the search.
I've searched all over but can't seem to find anyone looking for the exact same thing. We looked into Media Gallery which looks great but not exactly what we are looking for.

We would just like a checkbox in the search that filters the results by images or the IMG tag.

Is there currently an extension that could this or any tips on how to go about it?

It's not clear what you would like to do. Are you searching for posts with the same image?

That's something I've been fiddling around for a while. While you could search for [IMG]tags, there's no practical way of telling if that given img-tag content actually is an image. So only attachments would be a good starting point to search for.
