XF 1.5 How many posters do I have

On a large board with thousands of posters and far more lurkers. How can I find out how many actual posters I have. Like how many individuals have posted this month/ year etc?

Pretty sure you can use the date & posting criteria filters on the user search to do this

oh right - because the post count filter is on overall user lifetime activity, not just between the date parameters. hmm.

edit: i knew i wasn't going mad. You can do it with user group promotions -

User has posted at least X messages in Y days:
