How do you feel about AMP urls?

So I decided to do a search about amp to see how other browser "communities" felt about AMP'd urls. Apparently, not everyone is thrilled with it, aside from webmasters being promised higher search positions on google.

But how do you feel about amp urls? I'm curious to see some more opinions, I didn't dive too deep into looking but the search results themselves seem pretty telling..
 
As one of the early adopters of AMP (for WordPress), and after having "used" it for years, I decided to ditch it.

My very inconclusive (methodology 101 mistakes, mostly "forced") "AMP case study."

Yeah unfortunately it does add a ugly looking ?amp=1 appendage to urls with the ampxf addon and it does change the layout quite a bit.
 
No longer relevant IMO. I ran the ampxf addon for sometime and it worked well for what it did, but it's not a needed thing anymore. failed experiment by google.
