How do I make different parts of a single image link to different destinations?

While I recreate a site I'm going to have an image on the front page. What I'm thinking about doing is having a logo, Facebook and Twitter icons and maybe something else all part of the image, but want someone to be able to click the different icons to be taken to their respective pages.

Well i don't remember anything web related using this kind of thing but...I have used something very similar for making interfaces for my media player on my desktop. Based on the article, it looks to be straight forward and very much along the lines of the same thing in practical use.
