How did your forum set thread delete permissions?

I have a question. Do other forums give you permission to delete?

How did your forum set thread delete permissions?

I am preparing to run the forum.

Leave many comments.

No, it keeps it where it is. Although Moderators go through every so often as part of their duties manually moving deleted / dead threads into a hidden 'Trash' node.
If there are many threads, the moderator has many threads to move. Do you have a tool that does this smoothly?

Varied edit/delete post window, depending on post count / user group.

0-5 posts - 30 minutes
5-19 posts - 1 hour
20-199 posts - 8 hours
200+ posts - 2 days

Users can't delete threads, because it would affect others' posts.

Have you registered promotions based on the number of posts?

My advice is to remove the hard delete option from everyone, including yourself and any other moderators.

I have seen too many unrecoverable errors over the years with that permission enabled.

You can always enable it on a per need basis.

Thank you for answer. I am going to disable hard deletion.
