XF 2.1 How avoid 404 on routes?

For each page and threads the site create a 404 page, so how change this routes ?

mysite.com/threads/

mysite.com/pages/

I try with route filter, change

mysite.com/pages/my-title

for

mysite.com/whats-new/my-title

but not work.

there is nothing, the same with the pages, so in the end you have more error pages than post and pages together.

You can not redirect that....if you do, you lose or pages, or post.

Several reason

1 - what means for you... mysite.com/community/threads/ - the place to see what?...should be,

/forums/announcements/title/

even

/forums/threads/title

being threads a page like /whats-new/

2 - You are paying to host more empty pages than content ...( no sense )

3 - Finally.. how you fixed a backlink that point by misteak to /community/threads/ ?? .. you can not fix that.

I can see you are not satisfied with the software. I am sorry to hear that. Rest assured you are not paying to host empty pages. There are no links to those URLs and they can only be accessed by editing a link. Besides, this is roughly equivalent to me editing a link and adding random characters.

This is URL tampering and regular users don't do this.

Why can't you define your own landing page or redirect it to whats new? It would be an external redirect from your web server software, only on the exact url match, not child urls.
