I created the page node and can access it from:

 

http://www.mysite/forums/pages/home/

 

Now if I were to use .htaccess do incoming URLs coming from:

 

http://www.mysite/

 

get redirected to:

 

http://www.mysite/forums/pages/home/

 

I hope not because I don't want the URL to change from http://www.mysite/ to display my home page.
