Hi, I'm new here and trying to be cost efficient working with everything as free as I can.
I have a local host running on XAMPP software,
how do I use my localhost to go public online?
I even tried no-ip which doesn't seem to be working. . . . . .
I don't want to pay no gatorhost for internet hosting
I wanted to use my computer as the server host but I'm not an actual technical guy
Though I am learning as I go along the way . . . . . . . . . .
I can't seem to get my test-xenforo site outside of the local host. . . . . . .
I just bought a new computer to run this test to go public!
Seems like I can't get it to go public internet??
how do I get my local-host to become on the public internet?
I don't want to pay for hosting since the last of my money was used to buy this laptop
Somebody can you please help! I need people to access this as soon as possible.
If I have to re-install everything can someone also point me the direction of how to save my work so I don't have to recreate everything?
Also if someone has enough expertise in technicalities can answer with a thorough response,
I would very much appreciate it.
My friends are waiting for me to take my site online,
I can't keep them waiting any longer! It's ready to use,
But won't access on air from my localhost for some reason.
I don't know if this issue stems from anything that deals with software or deals with IP addresses,
as I had said I'm not that technically skilled though I am learning more as I go but I'm more of a click-push done kind of guy.
If someone has any kind of advice for response than please post here, inbox me, or even give me a call.
I need answers right now!
sorry to tag you (you can edit this out afterwards.)
@Brogan - you're the originator of this software, correct?
I need serious help on how to use my localhost as a self-hosted server but I want people to access it
How do I go about doing this???
It doesn't seem the local host of the xenforo software doesn't want to connect to the IP address.
